HORSEMANQI IS MOVING TO ONTARIO, CANADA!

About me

All of my life I have been interested in communication; it was this fascination that inspired me to develop Horseman Qi.
Ever since I was young I was involved in theater, I worked on plays, movies and TV. Although I enjoyed these experiences I found myself becoming restless, this was because I realized that many actors where just a "head" of communication. The body was not present during the performance, which is why I started to study dance and movement. I thought I could then portray pure communication with my actions, and that my body could express better than my words what I wanted to say. This idea brought me to the US, to explore bodies and their movement. It was during this period that I became involved with a dance company that performed with horses. I learned that interspecies communication brought not only desire of communication, but also a new awareness of how to communicate and listen to one another. Horses brought me a new idea of what communication really was, they are the best teachers for human skills, such as patience, understanding, justice, leadership...  It was from that day forward that I began my research. Now after gathering some more pieces of this eternal puzzle I'm bringing to you what I have discovered

My perfect world

I'm picturing a human equine relationship that deals with equal and mutual respect, where the only limitation is time. I see a relationship based on knowledge, open mindedness that is full of experiences. I see a healthy and happy horse that is physically able to do a job that requires balance and athleticism. I picture a horse that is able to use its body to its full capacity and is ready and willing for the challenge. On the other hand I see a human who leads a healthy relationship with new experiences while sharing a positive attitude. The responsibility of the human is to give to their partner the best they can to make them happy, giving them choices and learning from their equine partners about how to become better every day, taking responsibility for their growth and health. I am envisioning an equal relationship between bio-mechanics of the human and of the horse. I'm looking for a balance, shoulder to shoulder relationship, where you know that your horse is there for you and you are there for your horse.
